I was asking someone for a commission today, and it ended on a sour note. My first suggestion was shut down because she didn't want it to be anything related to her story. Which is fine, obviously, it's her character and she doesn't have to do anything she doesn't want to with them. So, I came up with another suggestion that involved my character dragging hers around while exploring somewhere, you know in a comical manner, but that was shot down too because that was something that would never happen with her character. I threw out some ideas that might cause it to happen, but then she got snippy about it, saying that she didn't want to draw anything that wasn't canon in her story. Now, it's fine if there are some things that a person doesn't want their character to be doing, but I would like to know at what point, did my commission suddenly become canon in her daggum story?! When did commissions become canon in someone's story!? They're called commissions because you're drawing
